Because of its reliability, accuracy and other limitations, the safety issues exist in such electronic safety applications as airbag ignition system and fuze initiation. In this paper, a high-voltage piezoelectric actuator which is the combination of safety and environmental protection is designed. Utilized in vehicular airbag ignition systems, it can improve the reliability and accuracy. Firstly, the composition of system is discussed. It includes an inverter drive circuit, a Rosen piezoelectric transformer, an output circuit and feedback control circuit.
