The deflection in buckling of a long panel consisting of parallel stiffeners across a rectangular plate is found when equal buckling loads are applied to the ends of each stiffener. The critical load for buckling is found as a function of the elastic properties of the plate and the stiffeners for various spacings of stiffeners, and the number of spot connections to the plate.
