Abstract
Problems sometimes confront engineers the analytic solution of which requires quite a knowledge of mathematics. The author illustrates this with the calculations required in an investigation of a wind-tunnel problem. The method used is intricate and tedious. A simpler solution may be arrived at by use of the graphical method.
